Silken Windhounds Lure Coursing har nu en egen sajt

Sedan tidigare finns det specialsajter för Silken Windhounds och Oval Racing samt Straight Racing.
Nu finns även en sajt för Lure Coursing.

Visserligen redovisas resulat på dessa sajter men vill man veta lite mer från de olika tillställningarna och se foton så ska man besöka ISWS Performance Journal som inte bara täcker de rena vinthundssporterna utan också rapporterar från andra hundsporter som Silkens deltar i.

Lure Coursing titlar hos ISWS, Internationella Silken Windhoundklubben

TITLES

Section 1 Titles
(Suffix to a hound’s name)

a.  CIC (Coursing Instinct Certified) A hound at least 12 months old running alone shall receive one qualification from a judge and a second qualification from a different judge on the same or separate dates stating that the hound completed a 600 yard course with a minimum of 4 turns.  The hound must complete the course with enthusiasm and without interuption.
Dogs that trot part of the required course will NOT qualify.

b.  CQ  (Coursing Qualified) A hound at least 12 months of age (Qualifying hound running with another hound of the same breed or another breed with a similar running style (Testing Hound) shall receive certification from a judge stating that the hound completed a 600 yard course with a minimum of 4 (four ) turns.  The hound must complete the course with enthusiasm and without interuption, and must not course the testing hound nor interfere with the testing hound in any way.   The judge will certify that the qualifying hound ran cleanly and did not appear to present a hazard to the testing hound at any point in the qualifying course.  This title is
required to enter an Open Stake .  The handler presenting the qualifying hound shall be responsible for providing the testing hound for the qualifying course.

c.  IC (Intermediate Courser)
1.  must be eligible to enter the Open Stake
2.  must complete 8 courses of at least 600  yards with a minimum of 4 turns on at least 4 different dates with enthusiasm and without interuption and must not course or interfere with the other hound(s) it is running with. This must be certified by at least 3 different judges.

d. EC (Expert Courser)
1.  must be eligible to enter Open Stake
2.  must have completed an Intermediate Courser title
3.  must complete 50 courses of at least 600 yards with a minimum of 4 turns on at least 25 different dates with enthusiasm and without interuption and must not course or interfere with the other hounds it is running with.  This must be certified by at least 8 different judges.

LURE COURSING CHAMPION  (LCC)
Prefix to hounds name
Points and placements  for the LCC title shall be accumulated in the same way as ASFA tallies points and placements for the title of field champion.

SUPREME LURE COURSING CHAMPION (SLCC)
Prefix to hounds name
Points and placements for the SLCC title shall be accumulated in the same way as ASFA tallies points and placements for the title of LURE COURSER OF MERIT

VETERAN LURE COURSING CHAMPION (V-LCC)
Prefix to hounds name
Points and placements for the V-LCC title shall be accumulated in the same way as ASFA tallies points and placements for the title of VETERAN FIELD CHAMPION

VETERAN SUPREME LURE COURSING CHAMPION (V-SLCC)
Prefix to hounds name
Points and placements for the V-SLCC title shall be accumulated in the same way as ASFA tallies the points and placements for the title of VETERAN LURE COURSER OF MERIT

Lure Coursingtitlar för Silken Windhounds

ISWS, Internationella Silken Windhoundklubben, har ett eget program för lure coursing för Silken Windhounds och därmed egna titlar.
Ett flertal amerikanska lure coursingklubbar tillåter Silkens att köra träning och tävlingar vid deras LC-tillställningar, även om det officiellt då sker i ISWS regi och därmed berättigar till titlar från ISWS men inte från den klubb som arrangerat det hela.

Nu finns det en ny klubb, NLCC, National Lure Coursing Club, som har Silken Windhounds som en av de raser som  kan tävla hos NLCC och därmed erhålla titlar även från NLCC.

Nu är även oval racing på programmet för Silkens i USA

ISWS, International Silken Windhound Society har ju redan straight racing och lure coursing, med egna klubbtitlar.

När det gäller straight racing så använder man samma regler som LGRA, Large Gazehound Racing Association.

För lure coursing gäller reglerna hos ASFA, American Sighthound Field Association.

Nu har det just beslutats att ett program för oval racing också startas. Som det ser ut så kommer första tävling att gå av stapeln redan nu i helgen i Kalifornien.
Reglerna för ISWS oval racing kommer att vara detsamma som för NOTRA, National Oval Track Racing Association.

I tillägg till racing, LC och oval racing som anordnas av ISWS så kan Silkens delta på s k meets hos en hel del andra racing-, LC-, och oval racingklubbar runtom i USA, så att tillfällena till träning och tävling finns på så många ställen som möjligt över USA. Som ju är ganska stort som bekant …
